Functioning of the department office:
The Department of Medical Communication shares an office with the Department of Medical Ethics and History of Medicine. The person working in the secretariat can be found either in room 207 at SKM or 009 at SELHS. Telephone numbers for the person working at the secretariat: tel. 22 116 92 34 or 22 116 92 270.
Who do I contact if I want to change groups?
If you would like to attend all seminars with a different group, please submit an application for a group change with justification to the head of the Department Antonina Doroszewska, Ph.D., at the beginning of the academic year or at the beginning of the summer semester. The application can be sent to the e-mail address skm@wum.edu.pl.
Is attendance at classes mandatory?
Attendance at all classes is mandatory. In case of single absences, they must be made up in a manner agreed with the instructor of the respective classes.
Is there a student scientific club at the Department of Medical Communication?
There is a Student Scientific Club of Medical Communication and Education at the Department of Medical Communication. The club's supervisor is Antonina Doroszewska, Ph.D. Contact: antonina.doroszewska@wum.edu.pl.

How can I get an entry in the practice booklet?
An entry in the practice booklet can be obtained after completing the class from the teacher in charge. You can also bring the collected practice booklets to the office of the Department of Medical Communication after prior contact by phone or email. The credits in the practice booklet are signed according to the content of the classes in a given year of education (some only after the last year - according to the curriculum).
Can I have rewritten a grade from a medical communication class from another university?
A grade from a medical communication class taken at another university can be rewritten only with the approval of Department head Antonina Doroszewska, Ph.D., when the course syllabus and ECTS scores are the same as those for the course to which it applies, and after an analysis of the learning outcomes realized in the course at the other university. For this purpose, you should submit an application at the beginning of the academic year to the head of Department Antonina Doroszewska, Ph.D., at the e-mail address - skm@wum.edu.pl and attach a scan of obtaining the grade and syllabus of the course.
Who are Simulated Patients who will participate in the class?
Simulated Patients (SPs) are individuals who play the role of patients during medical communication classes. These individuals have gone through a recruitment and training process.
