Paulina Kumięga, M.D.
Resident in Oncological Surgery. Teaching Assistant at the Medical Communication Department of the Medical University of Warsaw.
Daily, I work as a physician in the oncological surgery ward, where I support patients in the treatment process. I am a graduate of the Medical University of Warsaw, where I have been teaching medical communication to students for three years. In my teaching work, I focus on developing the ability to build partnerships with patients based on empathy and respect, which have a direct impact on the effectiveness of diagnosis and therapy. I combine knowledge from the latest research and literature with experience gained in primary care and in the oncological surgery ward, which allows me to provide students with theoretical knowledge supplemented with practical examples. I am particularly interested in and developing my skills in the area of communicating bad news and medical communication with people with obesity.
